Aaliyah Dana Haaughton gained prominence after the release of the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing But an Number in 1994. At the time, she was just 15 years old. when the album was released and it was later renamed Gold. R. Kelly was a key influence on the collaboration that put her in the limelight. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland in her album, One In A Million, which featured the #1 hit single If Your Girl knew. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B singing on the release of this album. She was a part of the romantic action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial arts legend Jet-Li. Some of her other notable work are Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. The commercials she has done have been for prominent brands like Volvo. Her home is in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She continues to pursue her acting profession.
