Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. Avery Sunshine's work has led her from Broadway to European festivals and clubs to even her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is a name that she has given her was Denise White. While she now lives in Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang and played piano. Her music career started in Atlanta in Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals,"Stalk You the House was released only in Japan. It has been remixed numerous times and it is a mainstay of her live show. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. The band was hired as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for her daily shows in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform at President Barack Obama's inaugural in 2009.
